DRUMMING & RHYTHM
WORKSHOPS

Echoing the rhythm of your
heart beat is all that is needed
to play the drum.

The drum can be used as a tool
to quiet your inner voice of
self criticism, fear or doubt

We must learn to play and live
joyfully in order to live a
full healthy live.

The drum is very grounding,
and places one squarely in the
here and  now.

Drumming provides a way of
communicating that is beyond
prejudice and judgment.

THE DRUM IS HEALING........

In the medical field, the hand drum is being used to help Alzheimer
patients improve their short-term memory and increase social
interaction and to help autistic children increase their attention span.

Hand drums are fast becoming an instrument used by people of every
age for personal transformation, psychological and physiological
healing and creating community.

Within each of us is a symphony of rhythms. The very first sound we
all hear is the rhythm of our mother's heart beat.

Drumming encourages team work, increases coordination and
concentration, inspires creativity and boosts confidence

Group drumming is being used more and more as a means of
stress reduction. Recent cancer studies have found that rhythm can
strengthen the bodies natural immune system.

Spiritual traditions of many cultures teach us that there are vibratory
centers within the human body, described as spinning wheels of energy,
called chakras which are the interface among the physical, mental and
spiritual aspects of one's being. Imbalances in chakras lead to imbalances
in body, mind, and spirit. Drumming creates a vibratory resonance
that activates, balances and aligns the chakra system.

DRUM MAKING WORKSHOPS

Making your own drum can be very
rewarding. Once created, you will notice
how the drum seems to become a
a part of you.

Use your drum for personal meditation
or join us each month for our community
rhythm & drumming circles.
